Secondary Science Teacher

About This Position

Asia Language and British Alma (ALBA International School) is seeking an enthusiastic, Secondary Teacher to teach Science in Yangon, Myanmar with an August start date.

Job Details:

Science position-

1. Year 8 Science
2. Work hours of 8:15am-3:45pm, Monday – Friday
3. Contract date: 17th August 2026 – 15th March 2027
4. Maximum of 25 contact hours per week
Requirements:

1. Fluent in English
2. A bachelor’s degree in any field of study (Preferably Science)
3. A TESOL, TEFL or CELTA Certificate
4. Two years’ teaching experience (Those with less can still apply)
5. Must be a passport holder of the following countries: UK, USA, Canada, S. Africa, Australia or New Zealand
Job Offer:

1. Salary of $1,700 - $1,900 USD/month
2. Housing provided near the school campus (Central Yangon)
3. Paid sick leave/paid national holidays
4. Airport pick-up and assistance with getting to know the area upon arrival
5. Business visas and work documents for all necessary government forms provided
