About This Position
English Lounge Communicator / Conversation Coach for Adult Learners
612 Language Academy is looking for a bright, lively and friendly English communicator to join our adult English learning lounge in Seoul.
This is not a traditional classroom teaching position. We are looking for someone who enjoys talking with people, creating a warm and energetic atmosphere, and helping adult learners feel more confident speaking English in a natural, relaxed setting.
You will mainly be based in our café-style English lounge, where students come to practise speaking English, ask questions, improve their pronunciation, and build confidence through real conversation.
This role is closer to an English conversation coach, communicator, lounge host or language partner than a formal teacher.
Main Responsibilities
- Have lively and engaging English conversations with adult learners
- Help students practise natural small talk and everyday communication
- Give light pronunciation correction and speaking feedback
- Create a friendly, welcoming and positive English-speaking environment
- Encourage quieter students to speak more confidently
- Support students who are studying or practising English between lessons
- Occasionally lead small speaking sessions, mini activities or conversation-based projects
We Are Looking For Someone Who Is
- Bright, talkative, warm and sociable
- Naturally good at making people feel comfortable
- Confident in holding conversations with different types of people
- Fluent in English with clear and natural pronunciation
- Positive, energetic and emotionally intelligent
- Interested in communication, coaching, language learning or people-facing roles
Native English speakers from countries such as the UK, US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland or similar English-speaking backgrounds are preferred, but we are also open to fluent English speakers with excellent communication skills.
Preferred Qualities
- Extroverted and talkative personality
- Friendly, kind and approachable manner
- Good conversational skills
- Interest in helping Korean adult learners improve their spoken English
- Experience in tutoring, coaching, hosting, teaching, customer service, acting, content creation or community building is a plus
- Ability to design and lead small speaking sessions, activities or student engagement projects is a strong plus
Working Hours
- 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- 5 hours per day
- Weekday availability preferred
- Exact working days can be discussed depending on availability
Pay
- KRW 100,000 – 200,000 per day
- Final rate will depend on experience, communication skills, English fluency, personality fit and ability to create a lively English-speaking atmosphere
- Additional incentives may be available for candidates who can design and lead speaking sessions, mini projects or student engagement activities
Visa Requirement
Applicants must already have a valid visa that allows them to work legally in Korea, or be eligible for the appropriate work visa sponsorship.
